Taken is about an ex-CIA agent whose daughter is kidnapped by sex traffickers while on vacation in Paris, France. Brian Mills (played by Liam Neeson) is a retired agent who has moved to California to be near his 17 year old daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) and ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) in an attempt to make up for the time he lost while on missions. After reluctantly allowing his daughter to take a summer vacation in Europe she is almost instantly abducted by Albanian gangsters who run an illegal sex trade. After using his covert connections, Mills learns that his window of opportunity to rescue his daughter is exceedingly slim, a mere 96 hours. He continues to travel to France and utilize his unique skill set to obtain the information he needs to both recover his daughter, and punish those responsible for perpetrating the crime.
